Life's Too Short For Ordinary Trips. Pack Light. Dream Big.

Allusion Diving Travel Terms & Conditions

CANCELLATION POLICY:
The following terms apply to all registered travelers wishing to cancel a trip after the initial deposit. A registered traveler (hereafter referred to as “traveler”) is defined as anyone who has paid an initial deposit for themselves and/or another traveler, thereby reducing the number of available spots Allusion Diving can sell.

1. Non-Refundable Payments:
All deposits and payments are non-refundable. This policy applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including changes in personal plans, illness, travel disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances. This ensures we can plan and commit to the trip arrangements on your behalf.

2. Transfer of Reservation:
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to another qualified person under the following conditions:

  • You provide written notice to Allusion Diving at least 12 weeks prior to the scheduled departure.

  • You coordinate the transfer and any associated payments directly with your replacement.

  • Your replacement meets all trip requirements, completes all necessary paperwork, and submits full payment before participating in the trip.

While Allusion Diving is happy to assist in notifying potential travelers if you need help finding a replacement, the responsibility for securing a replacement rests with you.

3. Agreement:
By submitting any deposit or payment toward your trip, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this cancellation and transfer policy.

NOT INCLUDED:
Unless otherwise specified, dive gratuities, resort gratuities, local airport fees, incidental expenses, beverages (unless indicated), enriched air, dive equipment, insurances, fuel surcharges, marine park fees, dive training, and any other charges or expenses not explicitly listed as part of a travel package are not included.

PASSPORT REQUIREMENT:
A valid passport is required for travel. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after the planned return date. For additional information, see U.S. Travel. For airport security requirements, see TSA.

OCCUPANCY PRICING:
Standard room pricing for Allusion Diving trips is based on double occupancy. An additional charge applies for single occupancy. Allusion Diving will make reasonable efforts to pair solo travelers with suitable roommates; if none can be found, the single occupancy rate will apply. Travelers wishing to room alone should select the single occupancy option at the time of booking.

MEDICAL & TRAVEL INSURANCE:
While every effort is made to ensure a safe trip, all travelers are strongly encouraged to purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance. Travelers should carry accident, baggage, evacuation, and medical coverage for scuba and non-scuba injuries or illnesses. Not all travel insurance policies cover scuba diving and in-water activities—review your policy carefully. Allusion Diving recommends Dive Assure or Divers Alert Network (DAN) insurance. See Dive Assure or DAN Membership DAN Travel Insurance for details.

NOTE:
Any evacuation and medical expenses incurred are the traveler’s financial responsibility.

AIRLINE TICKETS:
Most airline tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and subject to penalties. Tickets have no cash value if not exchanged or canceled prior to the original travel date. Travelers should reconfirm flights and review airline baggage policies before travel.

CONDUCT:
All travelers are expected to act respectfully toward local communities, fellow travelers, and Allusion Diving staff. Respect for the marine environment and adherence to safe diving practices are required. Allusion Diving reserves the right to remove travelers from a trip for disruptive behavior, unsafe diving, or environmental violations.

DIVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Travelers diving with Allusion Diving must be certified by an WRSTC (World Recreational Scuba Training Council) -member agency or enroll in a training course offered during the trip at their own expense. Divers must use properly serviced equipment in good working order and have recent dive experience, or arrange for professional supervision. Trip leaders coordinate dives but are not personal guides; individual guidance may be arranged for an additional fee. Divers unable to dive independently may be removed from diving activities without refund.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Allusion Diving and its service providers act as agents for travelers in arranging hotels, transportation, restaurants, or other services and are not liable for losses, injury, death, or damage arising from any act of default by these providers, or by acts of God. Allusion Diving is not responsible for delays, sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdowns, quarantine, government restrictions, weather, or other causes beyond its control. Airline contracts govern airline travel and constitute the sole agreement between the airline and traveler. Payment for a trip constitutes agreement to these terms and conditions.
